Everhope has hosted everyone - brides & grooms, CEOs, models, actors, rock stars, film crews filming at Everhope, authors, pro athletes, governors, and people like you and me looking for Unique! The University of Alabama community books us up for football games and graduation.

A stunning example of Greek Revival architecture, featuring original heart pine floors, windows, woodwork, and even the original doorbell. Designed by architect David Rhinehart Anthony to be Big, Bold, and Beautiful. Likely built with virgin pine and on-site oak, Everhope features walls 4X thicker than the modern standard. It has stood the test of time and is on the National Register of Historic Places and the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage for its architectural significance.

Across our acreage, we offer 8 bedrooms. 5 in the main home, and 3 guest quarters. You can rent all 8 as a full house rental with a kitchen, or rent a guest quarters individually. If you need a different configuration or have a Hollywood request, let us know.

Greene county is home to under 7,730 citizens. According to the most recent census, this reflects a 7.9% decrease. We are 81% African American, making us the fourth-most heavily black county by proportion in the country. Unemployment is high.

As an outsider who choose to live in Eutaw 15 years ago, it is an honor to contribute to this community. Often called the "Blackbelt" because of the dark fertile soil this was once a thriving region, growing many crops over generations. Today we are one of the poorest regions in the US. This is but a small part of a larger issue. The Grayline Group reports, "World populations are increasingly moving from rural to urban centers, making for larger cities with greater population density than ever before."
